About This Course

This course is intended to support your transition from High School into University, specifically Health Science First Year (HSFY). As part of your first semester in HSFY you will be required to take PHSI 191 (physics). This course is tailored to suit students who have little to no background in physics and/or mathematics and will guide you through the mathematical tools you will need to succeed in physics.

I am the course coordinator of the Jumpstart course, and, by training, a theoretical physicist with research area ranging from quantum physics to physics education research. I am intrigued how one learns new concepts and how we build up a 'tree of concepts' in our mind.
